We make mistakes. Along our parenting journey, no-one can ever say he or she never makes any mistake. Everyone does.
Parenting mistakes should not be viewed as parenting failure. We can be better parents by learning from what has gone wrong...although sometimes it can be very costly.
Feeling regret and sorry is ok. But we should not dwell on the past. Learn from our mistakes and move on with life. Be strong and hold on to our role as parents to protect and educate our kids...with extra care!
I'd once made a careless mistake that could be avoidable when Jeriel was about 4 years old. It might be a playful act but turned out to be a regrettable mistake!
What was the mistake you'd made that you wished it had never happened before? What have you learnt from it?
Let the lessons learnt from our parenting mistakes be our strength to be even better parents to our kids.
As fellow parents, let's support and be there for each other.
