Ask A Question

For years I've been admiring people with great websites... beautiful family sites with family photos and stories of their own.

But I didn't have one of my own where I can showcase the kids' pictures and to share my parenting thoughts to friends and relatives who live near and far away.

Knowing that I wanted to build a website, on one occasion dear hubby passed me a reference book titled "Make Your Site Sell".

Hmm...I was skeptical...I wondered if he gave me the right book. How can I make my site sell before I even have my own site? I thought "Make Your Site Sell" taught you how to sell goods via your existing website.

However, I was totally wrong!

"Make Your Site Sell" was truly an eye-opener

After reading the book, from "don't know how to start", my mind spun with ideas as to what to put up in a website.

I liked the author Dr. Ken Evoy's simple English and step-by-step guides in brainstorming ideas in site building. There's no techie stuff in the book. What he provided were valuable ideas and concepts on how to put much-loved contents on the website.

I loved the book so much that I bought it later from sitesell.com for my own keep sake. From then on, I signed up his newsletter and joined his affiliate program to take advantage of his other products.

Now that I have my idea of starting a website, what next?

I started with FREE website...but...

I joined Yahoo geocities to start my maiden site - "In Memory of Mimi" (Mimi was my cat). It was fun!

I started to think about another site...my family website - about my children, things we do and play, the ups and downs we experience, family pictures, our family life, etc. Also hosted in geocities.

Holding in geocities is great, but I wanted something more...a true identity of our website, a site belongs to us but not someone else. And definitely one with no advertisement banner which is auto-inserted in the web pages of free website!

I found a great web building solution!

After spending much time for a suitable web hosting and making careful comparison of various web hosting services, I chose the one offered by sitesell.com: SBI! - Site Built It!

Since I'm an affiliate, I got some 25% rebates from the purchase price. It's great, huh!!

Ok...what's so great about SBI!?

I have a wonderful experience with SBI!

As I went on building my site, I realized it has offered much more than I ever asked for.

With SBI!, I could monetize my website through many different methods which I will definitely try out at a later stage. As at this stage, I've benefited from using Google AdSense to monetize my website.

I hope you'll find SBI! as interesting, helpful, good and sophisticated as I do. And many mamas who are SAHM or WAHM, too, have such good experience with SBI!

Last but not least, this site is built by me with SBI!. What do you think? For me, I think it's wonderful! I'm not boastful but proud of it.
