...When Adriel was 7 and Jeriel was 4.

| I'm Proud Of You | |
|---|---|
| From very young I
always teach Adriel and Jeriel to share toys, food, books and just
anything else with others, saying that sharing is good behavior.
Once on the way back from his kindy, Jeriel told me he shared his Mentos (one kind of candy) with his kindy friends - all of them. He then asked: |
|
| Jeriel: | Mommy, am I good? |
| Mommy: | Yea, you are. |
| Jeriel: | Then you should say "I'm proud of you". Are you proud of me? |
| Oh my dearest boy, of course mommy is proud of you! | |
| God Told You I Didn't Go To Toilet? |
|---|
| I always tucked in Jeriel's shirt before
sending him to his kindy. I knew whether he went to the toilet or not by
observing
whether his shirt was still tucked in or pulled out. Still tucked in - no. Pulled out - yes. One day I asked Jeriel why he didn't go to the toilet after seeing that his shirt was still nicely tucked in. He asked, "how do you know that I didn't go to the toilet, mommy? Did God tell you that?" |
| Be Happy, Let's Go Simple! | |

I told Jeriel to keep his toys lying on the
floor. He picked up one and said, "but I still want to play with it...I
was so happy when playing with this toy last night".
We should all learn from the kids...be happy with simple things! |
| Ask God For Help |
|---|
|
I was upset with Adriel for taking things from my bag without my knowledge. As I was looking for it, I mumbled to myself..."don't even know where he put it!" Jeriel was nearby and said, "just ask God to help you look for it...God, help mommy to look for the thing Go Go (elder brother) took from mommy's bag." Yea, I finally found it. |
| Just Forgive |
|---|
| While in the bathroom ready to
brush his teeth, Jeriel suddenly turned to me and said:
"Mommy, when Adriel is wrong, you don't have to be angry with him. You just have to forgive him. Just forgive him, you know. Same to me, you don't have to be angry with me. I won't lie to you." He said that because I was very upset with Adriel and scolded him in
the morning for Jeriel is forever an angel to me. No-one can beat his kindred heart. He's the best! |
| I'll Correct Myself | |
|---|---|
| Mommy: | It doesn't matter if you have
done something wrong or made errors, so long as you correct it as daddy
and mommy have corrected you.
You must correct yourself and don't repeat the wrongdoing, then daddy and mommy will be happy. |
| Jeriel: | When you correct me, I'll correct myself. I'll not repeat my mistakes. I want you to be happy. Are you happy now, mommy? |
| Mommy: | Yes, my dear, I'm very happy. Thank you for making mommy happy! |
| Don't Force Me To Choose Only One | |
|---|---|
| Asked Jeriel who cooked better. | |
| Jeriel: | You and Amah (his grandma). |
| Mommy: | You have to choose one only. |
| Jeriel: | It should not be. You cannot ask me to choose one because both are good! |
| At age 4, Jeriel already knew not to offend anyone, especially those that he loved. | |
